Windows 8.1: WiFi dropping and/or "Limited"

If you look in device manager and right click on the adapter select properties then choose driver tab and then driver details you can see who wrote the driver.

Here is a graphics driver that says it is Microsoft but when you actually look at the provider it is NVIDIA that makes the driver it is just signed by Microsoft since it comes in through Windows update.

Didn't say it was only Dell but that is what you used as an example. The longer people let device makers push blame the longer you will have an issue. They are the only ones that can fix the issue since it is their fault.

Microsoft doesn't make hardware function driver aside from some basic ones like the basic display adapter. The functionality of a third party device is left up to the vendor of that part or the device manufacture such as dell.

Nobody fixed this issue FOR me but me (myself).... and I still blame Microsoft. It's a Windows 8.1 software compatibility issue so I feel Microsoft bears the burden to 'fix' it for everyone.  Defend Microsoft all you want, the FACT still remains that MOST of these People wouldn't be posting these WiFi issues at all if they had simply purchased PCS running Windows 7. It's just that simple.

Apparently after 65 pages of complaints, the answer from Microsoft is to simply ignore the problem and hope it goes away on it's own or in the next revision of Windows ...

Shame on you Microsoft. This is disgusting customer service!

You should contact your PC vendor or wireless cards manufacture to inform them there is an issue. They are the ones that make the software responsible for wireless connectivity.

Member before uinstal in Devices Manager.

After DOwnload only oryginal driver and Instal.

If Manufacture use aplication to instal, the oryginal driver are in TEMP folder, before close the aplication.

IT is easy job.

ALL windows versions.

Member delete (local DHCP clients in router) if use MIX BGN ,PSK-passwords.
