Windows 8.1: WiFi dropping and/or "Limited"
Since installing 8.1 Pro, I'm having issues with WiFi dropping internet connectivity and always showing "Limited" when clicking on the system tray icon. When I troubleshoot the problem using the system tool it is always the gateway that is faulty. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the device drivers several times, installed the newest drivers directly from Intel, restarted the computer, etc. I can restore connectivity by turning WiFi off then back on, but the connection will drop at what seems to be random intervals. My applicable system specs are as follows;
Lenovo Y510P Laptop
Windows 8.1 Pro
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230
Apple Time Capsule router w/newest firmware
Needless to say this is quite an irritating bug that didn't exist prior to the update to 8.1 I hope this can be resolved quickly. Thanks!

2014-08-05T22:24:52+00:00 I FIXED IT!!!!
So I for one LOVED Windows 8. From day one I was super excited for the new functionality. I was the top 50 salesperson in the COMPANY for Best Buy in Computers & Tablets. Needless to say I had a lot of sway over peoples buying decisions. But my HP Pavilion DV7 that I loved for years started having this wifi issue after upgrading to Windows 8. Interesting I said. I spent hours searching, subscribed to this thread for weeks, even ran ethernet to my desk in my home office because it was so frustrating. I work from home now in the entertainment industry. I finally found a solution!!
A beautiful iMac! Goodbye Windows. To all those that I persuaded to buy Windows, please forgive me. Hope you enjoy that 3.6 ghz i7 I sold you to play Farmville :P haha!

2014-07-30T21:10:16+00:00 Hi all,
I think most of you guys might have solved the issue by now.
If not - I personally found running this command: netsh winsock reset
This has kept my wifi connection stable lenovo G505s for last 2 days
Run the command(CMD) as administrator before typing the command. Also you would need to restart the machine.
Hope its helps
Cheers
