Windows 8.1: WiFi dropping and/or "Limited"

Since installing 8.1 Pro, I'm having issues with WiFi dropping internet connectivity and always showing "Limited" when clicking on the system tray icon.  When I troubleshoot the problem using the system tool it is always the gateway that is faulty.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the device drivers several times, installed the newest drivers directly from Intel, restarted the computer, etc.  I can restore connectivity by turning WiFi off then back on, but the connection will drop at what seems to be random intervals.  My applicable system specs are as follows;

Lenovo Y510P  Laptop

Windows 8.1 Pro

Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230

Apple Time Capsule router w/newest firmware

Needless to say this is quite an irritating bug that didn't exist prior to the update to 8.1  I hope this can be resolved quickly. Thanks!

    The issue is you are on the wrong forum. The hardware and drivers that run WiFi are made by other companies. It would be productive to go on that companies forum and tell them so they can fix it. If you never let them know that your configuration is having issues they will never know to fix it.

    Yes the monitor them but this isn't a problem they can fix because they have no control over other companies. You don't call Target to complain about a Walmart employee.

    It can also be other external issues like signal interferences bad ISP, other devices, viruses, and too many more to name.

    Hi Bianca, I think you just have to keep updating the drivers eventually it seems they do get better.

    Go here to get more info about changing the frequency

    www.vindamedia.com/windows/helplist choose the section about WiFi. You can skip to the signal section.

    Usually, if the frequencies are interfering with it that much there is a little troubleshooting. Please start a new question, on top of this page under participate.

    After trying numerous "fixes" from everyone else and having my wifi box replaced, I found the culprit in my house. My issue is caused when I turn on the baby monitor in my home. Turn it off, no problems. My question now is why did the baby monitor never interfere with any of my computers until I bought my Lenovo All in One touch screen with 8.1. Any ideas on this; how can I run my computer and baby monitor at the same time?
