Have you tried the solution that worked for me by disabling IPv6 and making a change in the power management. Brad that posted the solution had an Asus, so hopefully it will work. I have copied the post below.
I had the same problem with my new ASUS laptop. I fixed it by going into network settings-adapter settings and unclicking "ipv6" then going into power management for the adapter and unclicking "allow computer to turn this device off to save power." Problem
solved.

Click Change adapter settings in Network and sharing Center and clear tick by IPv6
Then:-
You can use Device Manager to change the power management settings for a network adapter. To disable this setting in Device Manager, expand Network Adapters, right-click the adapter, click Properties, click the Power Management tab, and then clear the Allow
the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.
