Windows 8.1: WiFi dropping and/or "Limited"

Since installing 8.1 Pro, I'm having issues with WiFi dropping internet connectivity and always showing "Limited" when clicking on the system tray icon.  When I troubleshoot the problem using the system tool it is always the gateway that is faulty.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the device drivers several times, installed the newest drivers directly from Intel, restarted the computer, etc.  I can restore connectivity by turning WiFi off then back on, but the connection will drop at what seems to be random intervals.  My applicable system specs are as follows;

Lenovo Y510P  Laptop

Windows 8.1 Pro

Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230

Apple Time Capsule router w/newest firmware

Needless to say this is quite an irritating bug that didn't exist prior to the update to 8.1  I hope this can be resolved quickly. Thanks!

    I have made the .bat file and I also put in cmd in the third line so the Command window comes up so you can see the execution in case anything goes wrong.  First day it was a dream and communication was open for hours. I check that with the Java 'Internet Connectivity Monuitor 1.41'. And when it stopped I reran the .bat and it was open again. 

    Yesterday and today nothing happened, it was still closed when I ran it. And it was closed when the file had been run. 

    I don't understand why, but that is what I see.

    Many of the other methods has been hailed to work as well and after a day r two they all failed. Maybe MS have a small IT guy located inside the Win8.1 operating system?? Just to stop our efforts:-)

    It should reconnect faster than any manual method. You shouldn't have to run it as "Administrator" but try right-click and select "Run as Administrator"

    It was fun as long as it lasted, but now this .bat file does not make any change anymore. 

    So I am back in the queue with all the unhappy MS clients!

    If you guys try going to Control Panel, Network and Internet, Network Connections, right click wifi, click properties, then click configure, click on the power management tab, and uncheck the box that says, allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

    yes, tried that when problem first appeared. Plus all the other suggestions. Wifi still dropped a dozen times a day

    For me that intel driver diagnostic updated to a better version of the driver.... since then i probably only lose wifi once or twice every couple of days which is bearable (if not acceptable).
