It is incredible if you have a new PC and experience "this issue" (which may in fact be several, giving similar result...) OK, I hope you report the problem to vendor support, in order to put pressure on solving it that way. We, who have older PCs and the same type of issues, will definitely not have the same impact on MS...
It was too bad that this is Windows 8.1 issues and also happen in Windows 8.
I just tried to clean install Windows 8 to see whether the wifi still having 'limited' and keep dropping every 5-10 seconds.
And the problem persist! When using ubuntu / linuxmint, wifi is work flawlessly. I don't think we must do some 'tricks' to make wifi worked, that's not my way. It should be run without our configuration like another OS before 8.
Microsoft and Intel, if you read this please sort out this thing. It's too long. Even the latest driver 17.0.0 which just released 10 days ago can do nothing. Sigh..
