Windows 8.1 touch screen not working?

Is there a touch screen bug in the final version of Windows 8.1 or is there a particular setup I need to do to get touch to work reliably?

I just installed it on my Fujitsu T902 and sometimes the touch screen responds and sometimes it doesn't. The same also applies for the digitizer.

What is the make and model of the laptop?

You may try to download and install latest touch screen driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    Methods not helpful for VIAO Ultrabook.  8.1 touch screen failed after MS update an hour ago.  Followed Step 1 and no "driver" option under Device manager.

    Hi There, I had endless problems with windows 8 installation and lost the touch function. after a day I realised that it is sometimes because the PC is 64 bit based and the windows you installed is 32bit. Install a 64bit windows os and your problem should be resolved :-)

    no aim not uninstalling from device manager ever again did that the other day and lost all kinds of things on here , spent all-day getting cpu to work again. I had no problem until this morning I updated Toshiba  updates  for router.
