Windows 8.1 touch screen not working?

Is there a touch screen bug in the final version of Windows 8.1 or is there a particular setup I need to do to get touch to work reliably?

I just installed it on my Fujitsu T902 and sometimes the touch screen responds and sometimes it doesn't. The same also applies for the digitizer.

You may try to download and install latest touch screen driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    Well, I don't know if this answers your question or maybe it might help someone else. But mine has been and still is doing it. Mine goes in and out. I tried to do a "Recovery Point" and hoped the would fix it, but no, it didn't. But what I did find out was that it is the Lid of my laptop itself. Once it blinked out when I was closing the lid, and then it happened a different time when I opened the lid. So, I all so gently flexed the lid and, the screen responded. And every-time I do that my touch screen works. I haven't replaced the lid yet, but at least I THINK/HOPE that might solve the problem.

    no aim not uninstalling from device manager ever again did that the other day and lost all kinds of things on here , spent all-day getting cpu to work again. I had no problem until this morning I updated Toshiba  updates  for router.
