Windows 8.1 touch screen not working?

Is there a touch screen bug in the final version of Windows 8.1 or is there a particular setup I need to do to get touch to work reliably?

I just installed it on my Fujitsu T902 and sometimes the touch screen responds and sometimes it doesn't. The same also applies for the digitizer.

What is the make and model of the laptop?

You may try to download and install latest touch screen driver from the computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    I just added a iiyama T2452MTS and I too have no functioning touchscreen. I downloaded iiyama's drivers folder and noticed no drivers for 8.1. So awaiting a response from iiyama on a driver that will enable touchscreen on 8.1.

    The solution I posted above works fine on my Vaio Multi-Fit 15, yesterday I updated to Windows 8.1 again and verified that both the touch screen and the pen stop working randomly. Once I disabled the power management on those they work reliably once again. No idea if this has any battery impact though, my guess it that it's probably negligible since those devices shouldn't be too power hungry. Anyway I keep a full disk image with Windows 8 in case some other problem appears and I need to roll back.

    I had a similar problem with my Gateway 6800ZX updating to 8.1 from 8.0. A forum member gave me this info to try and it worked for me more than once. Make sure you type exactly as listed. If done correctly, it will be indicated. Hit enter after each line is done. Follow prompts as indicated. Hope it works for you.

    Try this:

    Windows Key + X, choose Command Prompt (admin).  Then type the following two lines:

    bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS

    bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON

    That should get you past the signing issue.
