Cant use windows 8.1 Windows Easy Transfer on Windows 8.1

I updated from Windows 8 to the new Windows 8.1.

I want to CREATE a Windows Easy Transfer file on the Windows 8.1 machine.  When using WET, it just does not have that option.  Is this discontinued in Windows 8.1 or a bug?

Is there a way to create a WET file on the 8.1 machine?

    SkyDrive is not an acceptable method when moving confidential files.  This is a major snafu for Microsoft for people who only use local accounts.  We do not want our stuff on the internet for any reason.  Google and Microsoft have made it very clear they read our stuff in order to market to use, what they sell to data aggregators is still up to question.  My test so, what you say in emails and post in documents somehow always ends up in a ad on facebook or from Amazon.  If they are getting it, who else.  Just one more reason to move away from Microsoft.  Google is already history for me.

    I too am rather upset about this feature being gone!!!!   Now I have to manually transfer files over Huff and Puff thanks Microsoft

    Items that now can be easily transfered by using SkyDrive in combination with other services and tools, such as Xbox Music to back up your music collection, and File History to keep files always backup and up-to-date.

    This is completely false for a significant number of users.

    I tried converting over to OneDrive for Business, as my employer has supplied me with 1 TB of storage (more than enough data). However, this still isn't possible for the following reasons:

    1. My company works in software development. I have many projects and files of types that are not allowed on OneDrive. Many software and web development file types are blocked. I need many of these forbidden file extensions.
    2. We have many projects that packages that have a large number of small files. OneDrive is limited to something like 20,000 files! I have far more than that!

    Additionally, I have read many reports of people using OneDrive when travelling, and finding themselves unable to unlock their PC because they didn't have network access. This is an unacceptable risk.

    I'm sure OneDrive might work sufficiently in some basic environments, but it has some huge shortcomings that make it unacceptable for a significant numbers of users.

    They did the same thing with Windows Media center.  

    Suppose you were rolling along, perfectly happy with Windows 7.  You install the windows 8 upgrade and BAM!  No more media center.  Oh wait, you can buy it separately.  Uh duh, I can buy a lot of things separately but I already had it before I "upgraded."

    Oh yes, and if you do have media center and, God forbid, have to rebuild your machine you get to find out your Windows 8 upgrade product code is not valid after media center was installed into it so recovering your PC from a disaster is excessively difficult because of the product code gymnastics.

    Ugh.  The whole thing is an unforced error.
