Hi Again, again Anil
You may recall that I reformatted my drive and reinstalled Windows to cure the updating issue, but regrettably the problem and that of User defined Break points continued. Well I did an In Place Upgrade as suggested. It failed telling me some files needed were missing or corrupt. I didn't notice an error code. I figured there was a problem with my installation disc and as I already had a download of Windows 7 I could use (win7-64-iso-x17-59186) so I burnt an ISO and ran setup from within. It failed for exactly the same reason, "cannot copy files as some files are missing or corrupt". I noted the code 0x80070241. so if we review:
- a full re-install of Windows 7 (after a format) did not solve the problem
- an upgrade fails due to missing or corrupt files twice with two completely separate discs
- error ode 0x80070241
Anil, you are about to demonstrate just how good you are!
