How Do I Stop DPC Watchdog Violation Blue Screen?

I have been receiving pop up messages for the last month of so saying I should download Windows 8.1. Today, I went on my computer to check a couple things and it popped up again so I just decided to finally get it since I could let it download while I slept for a few hours. Now, ever since I got that, I keep on getting the DPC Watchdog Violation Blue Screen every time I get into a game of League of Legends. I haven't had this update long enough to see what else will cause it. This is getting extremely frustrating and I would like to know how to stop this. I have never been a huge fan of Windows 8, unfortunately, and this update so far isn't helping much. =/

P.S. I don't know if this makes a difference, but my computer is the HP Envy M6.

That's unbelievable, truly unbelievable. You're not a bother, and I am here to help.

For HP drivers, you'll want to go here and search by your product - http://www8.hp.com/us/en/drivers.html

Once you've done that, get the appropriate video/graphics drivers.

    Regards,

    Patrick

I'm sorry to bother you with this, but I called hp the other day to try and get vocal assistance with finding the drivers, uninstalling them, and then getting the new ones. They told me that I would have to pay for tech support over the phone because my warranty is out. I have no clue how to find the drivers so I can uninstall them so I was wondering if you would be able to help since they won't without me paying.

OK, I'll have my roommate look at the stuff sometime this week, and if he doesn't have the time then I will look it up this weekend. I don't believe it deleted the old drivers before it brought in the new ones, I know we didn't delete them manually. If it did, then it didn't restart after deleting the old ones, just after it finished installing the new drivers.

Thanks! Still an 0x133 bug check as we've seen.

igdkmd64!hybDriverEntry is in a loop and it caused a deadlock, therefore the 0x133 bugcheck occurred.

With this said, still being caused by the graphics drivers (verifier detecting them in violation). Did you uninstall the old drivers and restart before installing the new ones?

Also, your laptop may have dual-graphics (i.e Intel Graphics + nVidia or AMD for example). Ensure all video related drivers are up to date via HP's website.

    Patrick
