How Do I Stop DPC Watchdog Violation Blue Screen?

I have been receiving pop up messages for the last month of so saying I should download Windows 8.1. Today, I went on my computer to check a couple things and it popped up again so I just decided to finally get it since I could let it download while I slept for a few hours. Now, ever since I got that, I keep on getting the DPC Watchdog Violation Blue Screen every time I get into a game of League of Legends. I haven't had this update long enough to see what else will cause it. This is getting extremely frustrating and I would like to know how to stop this. I have never been a huge fan of Windows 8, unfortunately, and this update so far isn't helping much. =/ 

P.S. I don't know if this makes a difference, but my computer is the HP Envy M6.

    To answer your previous question - Since it came installed with Windows 8, the drivers on HP's website are for Windows 8 + (8.1), and not anything before. You could install Windows 7 and try your best to get the drivers working for 7, and you may even have to go 3rd party, but I would not recommend it. It's best you stay on Windows 8 as that's the OS your drivers were developed and tested for.

    This  computer came with Windows 8.

    Also, I have been talking to a couple places about getting the computer wiped, and one just said that using HP Recovery Media Creation would do the same thing as a wipe. Would that work?

    Sorry to bother you again, but I do believe this is the last thing I shall be posting on here. I just have a few questions about the wipe. Since Im wiping everything, do I have to do windows 8 again, or can i go back to windows 7? Is there a difference between windows 7 used for desktops and laptops?...I think thats it
