nVidia graphic card does not show up in device manager, unable to update drivers

Original Title: NVidia graphic card disappeared

Before three weeks ago, I connected my two laptops via network sharing (but it didn't work) . After that my laptop (ASUS X52J with nVidia GeForce 310M) did not respond, it restarted. But with some errors. After that my laptop didn't detect nVidia card (detected only Intel graphic card). I uninstalled my drivers and tried to installed. But it occurred error..

"This graphic driver could not find compatible graphic hardware"

And Device manager also didn't detect the nVidia adapter..what should i do now..Please Help

    I am following the three steps to force Windows to detect the missing Nvidia GeForce 330M graphics card installed in my Vaio VPLC13S1E all-in-one desktop.

    1st.  I have successfully installed Windows 10 on the Vaio VPLC 13S1E

    2nd. The Microsoft Basic Display Adapter has become the default graphics display.  No sign of NVidia in device manager.  Or in Step 2 looking for hardware that is not visible.

    3rd. I have uninstalled NVidia 266.18 Graphics Driver and GeForce Experience 2.14 from the Programs.

    4th. In control panel the NVidia Control Panel remains but when clicked the wheel spins a few seconds then stops.  Nothing happens.

    I have tried installing device drivers for NVidia 361.43 (win 10 32 bit), 341.81 (win 10 64 bit) and 341.92 (win 10 64 bit)

    They all produce the NVidia installer cannot continue. The graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware.- (error as shown at the start of this thread)

    Any suggestions as to how I can make the hardware appear in device manager - or which drivers might work?

    Make sure you know what BIOS version you have and re-flash it. I upgraded to W10 and it did the same thing. Once I did the BIOS flash it took it a bit for it to recognize it. But all good now.

    Can you Please help me out. 

    I tried to follow your steps and I was able to find the other hidden graphics cards and I deleted them, but now I cant update the drivers. Nvidia driver tells me I do not have any of the cards I am trying to update... I have windows 8.1 and a nvidia quadro fx 1400, the card came with the computer and it will not read it. please and thank you for any help.

    Hello I have an Asus Laptop that has a 740M iNvidia card as secondary to its "microsoft basic display adapter" (that's what it says in the manager)

    I'm running windows 10 right now but the laptop came with windows 8.

    The iNvida card is no longer visible in the manager and when I try to update the card or reinstall the drivers it says that it can't find the applicable hardware.

    I have not removed or physically added anything onto the laptop. After an update my iNVIDIA card had a code 43 and I uninstalled the drivers and tried to get it back to working order. My standard card is functioning fine any there are no other problems. I simply want to get my other display card up and running again.

    I have the same problem on windows 10 but fix it is not available in windows 10 so what do I do?
