nVidia graphic card does not show up in device manager, unable to update drivers

I'm actually fund out solution for myself. I just went on lenovo support site (my pc is lenovo z500), this recommended me guy on Nvidia online support, that manufacturers can have resources what I need. I checked drivers I downloaded few an installed one by one. One of them was upgrade for bios for my PC and that one helped. I installed it and everything seems working fine ofc graphic is finaly not hidden. 

My recommendation is, go on your manufacturers site chceck drivers what you (probably som for bios will be right one) think, that can help you try it and hope. But I think general problem is somwehere in bios, too hard found and fix it for normal people. (sorry If I did too many mistakes but my english is not best)

yeah but my thing is in adapters why do asus computers have so many problems once this laptop dies im never using asus again

In most cases it refers to GPU fault.

On PC it is maybe insufficient power, unplugged power connector, not properly installed card or simply graphics card died. In rare cases is PCIe x16 connector damaged or PCIe bus leads to the slot is died. Or PSU damaged.

On laptop it is very bad case: your GPU lying on the solder bolls, whose connects it to motherboard, and if you did not clean your laptop for the long time and your cooler is dust filled, laptop begins overheating, which cause the solder bolls to crackle and pop off from connections. Furthemore, there is actually two level of these solder bolls: one lying directly beneath GPU crystal and connects it to the chip substrate, and second level connects substrate to motherboard. and in most cases bolls crackle under crystal, which means your Nvidia GPU is effectively dead, since there is no way to resolder crystal to the substrate. In some cases you're lucky and the bolls crackled under substrate, which can be reflowed or resoldered. And, in some cases after overheating the motherboard begins to twist in some places, which can result in tearing the contact rounds for bolls under GPU on your motherboard. And in this case entire motherboard needs to be replaced, or you will live only with integrated GPU.

P.S. I'm actually means b.a.l.l.s instead of bolls but stupid censor does not allow me to write techical details properly.

Original Title: NVidia graphic card disappeared

Before three weeks ago, I connected my two laptops via network sharing (but it didn't work) . After that my laptop (ASUS X52J with nVidia GeForce 310M) did not respond, it restarted. But with some errors. After that my laptop didn't detect nVidia card (detected only Intel graphic card). I uninstalled my drivers and tried to installed. But it occurred error..

"This graphic driver could not find compatible graphic hardware"

And Device manager also didn't detect the nVidia adapter..what should i do now..Please Help

Hey guys i am new here.... just a hint, remember the F2 F10 F4??? I mean the BIOS Setup key? Yea use it, go to Configuration or whatever menu that mentions display and switch it to BOTH, or DISCRETE. Cause my problem that i wasted 8 freakin hours tryin to solve it turned out it was me turning the display to UMI ONLY i.e... only the main and primary graphic card will function and the other one be hidden
