nVidia graphic card does not show up in device manager, unable to update drivers

Original Title: NVidia graphic card disappeared

Before three weeks ago, I connected my two laptops via network sharing (but it didn't work) . After that my laptop (ASUS X52J with nVidia GeForce 310M) did not respond, it restarted. But with some errors. After that my laptop didn't detect nVidia card (detected only Intel graphic card). I uninstalled my drivers and tried to installed. But it occurred error..

"This graphic driver could not find compatible graphic hardware"

And Device manager also didn't detect the nVidia adapter..what should i do now..Please Help

    SOLVED. I spent 2-3 hours for 2 days trying up get my NVIDIA NVS 300 Graphic card to show up in devise manager in Windows 7 64. Neither could I successfully download the NVIDIA driver from the manufacturer OR successfully apply any MS fixes related to "Graphic Card not Showing" fix.

    ANSWER: Install Windows 10. The installed NVIDIA NVS 300 GRAPHIC CARD AUTOMATICALLY POPULATED, and showed up in device manager, where I was able to right click on the listed graphic card and update driver for the lasted version!

    PROBLEM: Windows 7 inability to fix/find drivers for select graphic card models.

    I'm already use Windows 10 and always kept it updated. But still my graphic card not showing up in device manager. What should I do? Did you do the full cleaning on your pc? Or did you format your pc?

    Get into your BIOS and reset to defaults . Let the laptop restart and voila there it is again. Run  nvidia software and you'll be able to control your video display again :)

    This solution worked with my ASUS X52jc with a nividia gforce 310

    DangerDillard, I have the exact same problem. I followed the method 2; revealed hidden items in device manager, saw my Nvidia GTX 960M, uninstalled it, and restarted the computer.

    Now I have no traces of the Nvidia video card, even when I reveal hidden items.

    Yesterday Windows 10 automatically updated my Nvidia driver to 361.75, and in the middle of the install crashed to a blue screen. Subsequently my multi monitor setup wouldn't work, so I started looking to manually remove and update the driver for the Nvidia card.

    Thanks. This advice worked for me. I tried all the other advice and nothing worked until I reinstalled the latest dell BIOS.
