nVidia graphic card does not show up in device manager, unable to update drivers

Original Title: NVidia graphic card disappeared

Before three weeks ago, I connected my two laptops via network sharing (but it didn't work) . After that my laptop (ASUS X52J with nVidia GeForce 310M) did not respond, it restarted. But with some errors. After that my laptop didn't detect nVidia card (detected only Intel graphic card). I uninstalled my drivers and tried to installed. But it occurred error..

"This graphic driver could not find compatible graphic hardware"

And Device manager also didn't detect the nVidia adapter..what should i do now..Please Help

    Im confused when you say "From here, remove each instance of the Nvidia card you see as well as each unknowndevice. Exit Device Manager and reinstall the latest drivers you can find for your graphics card." Do i uninstall my nvidia driver or what are you talking about

    Solution:

    I found out you can press fn +f5 to get it to force switch to the other card wait until it gives you a prompt that request you to restart and presto update your card and your good :3

    Fixed it!! Updated the BIOS, as stated earlier.

    My laptop is maybe 2 months old, so I didn't think i'd have to update the BIOS already, but I was wrong.

    Ultimately, the problem for me turned out to be with the Nvidia card itself, rather than Windows. I had to get it replaced - the 'glue' linking it to the motherboard had gone solid and cracked, damaging the card.

    Ok, so using method 2. By "remove" the only option i saw was uninstall, now i am stuck with just my Intel driver and no longer have my Nvidia GeForce 750M driver. I do not know where to reinstall it or what to do. What do I do?
