How to change tiles' background color in Windows 8.1 start screen?

For me it does not work.

1. Go to Start Screen and move your mouse cursor to top-right or bottom-right corners to access Charms Bar.
2. Click on Settings icon present in Charms Bar.

When I do this there is only a "Personalization" option. clicking this just opens the control panel personalization for desktop background and such. How to I change my start screen settings?

When you say 'tile colors', do you refer the background of the start screen and the tile color accents?

I'd say it's obvious that when he said tile colors he meant tile colors. Can I please ask that this major issue of withdrawing the ability to change tile colors and forcing an absolutely dismal, ugly and non user friendly, multi-colored nightmare be rectified very quickly?

It's no secret that Windows 8 had a tough start, yet I forged ahead, customised my start screen and created usable categories and came to a point where I was really happy with the OS and told people so. And now this happens to the core element of the OS. I can't recommend this anymore.

You have forced a mix of fluro, tone and pastel colors to sit side by side producing a cacophony of confusion and eye gouging ugliness. I instantly wanted to downgrade to 8.0 upon install, but apparently that isn't an option.

Please fix asap.

There is an easy way to do that. High Contrast mode. Within the settings you can also choose the colours. But it comes with a hughe downside at least for me. It deactivates thethe graphic card rendering the photoshop gpu support useless, pictures don't show when you open them.

Get a Mac man. It really rocks! =)

Microsoft staff! Are you there? When will you fix this? We don't want the tiles to be the same colour as the icon! Please put it back the way it was in 8.0 and stop this constant unnecessary irritation of your users
