How do I disable the new titlebar in Modern Apps?

I installed the new W8.1 update 1 today.  I find the new Metro App titlebar totally stupid, useless, and very annoying.  It apparently only shows on computers with a mouse attached.

Is there a way to disable this titlebar?  I hear it may officially be called a "window menu".

I have been using Stardock's ModernMix to make Modern/Metro useful.  ModernMix is what the new update should have been.  Having this new titlebar popping up across the top of my screen when using windowed modern apps is really annoying!

BTW, what is it nowadays, Modern, Metro, or Retro?  lol

Edit 04-10-2014:  Stardock got this solved real slick with their new ModernMix 1.14 beta.  They even managed to add a window option to the titlebar, which still shows in full screen mode.  Nice!  When you reduce a modern app down to a window, the title bar is disabled.

Pretty slick!  I can't understand why Stardock is so good at this stuff but it takes Microsoft multiple versions over multiple years to get to the same place, maybe!

    Cool. That's a good workaround.

    I find the titlebar most annoying in remote desktop programs - RDP, Teamviewer, Splashtop. I have closed the session when I simply meant to close a program on the host. I can reconnect, but it's annoying.

    And while the desktop version of Remote Desktop is available on the Surface RT, I can only use the Modern versions of Teamviewer and Splashtop. That means I have no choice but to put up with the interceptor bar.

    I Hate this DAMN pull down bar as much as the next it is very frusterating...

    Until they fix it you might just consider this.... Pretty obvious.

    Sorry , first post here and I dont know how to put pics up clearly.... But if u zoom in u will see that all I did was hit the Square on chrome browser so that I can move it down just enough and away from that damn BAR OF ANNOYANCE

    The Metro version of Remote Desktop has some nice features which make me prefer using it over the desktop version:

    1. The Metro RDP connection info bar is much smaller than the desktop version and it fades away when not moving the mouse. You can also drag it left or right with the mouse to put it some place more out of the way if needed. Not many people may know about that ability, I just happened to try it one day. In contrast, the desktop version connection info bar is very large and even though you can unpin it to make it auto-hide it becomes just as frustrating as this new Metro app title bar, getting in the way when your mouse hits the top of the screen.
    2. It is much easier to switch back to the previous window in the host OS. All you have to do is put your mouse in the upper left corner and click. On the desktop version, if you have the connection info bar disabled (because it was so annoying that you disabled it), you have to press the special key combination (CTRL + ALT + BREAK) to toggle the full screen RDP session. On my laptop I actually have to press 4 keys (CTRL + FN + ALT + BREAK).

    I'm also using Chrome OS in 'metro' and that title bar is driving me BONKERS when I point upward to switch tabs and it intrudes. WHY don't they make these things opt out? It couldn't be too hard!?
