Manually close all of the open Google Chrome processes in your Task Manager. Restart Chrome. That's all I did and the mouse started working properly. Good luck!

Original Title: Pointer disappears
Hello,
Recently, I've found that my pointer disappears whenever I'm on my default internet browsing site (Google Chrome). I can see it when using Internet Explore though. I have a HP Pavilion x2. I can still use even when I can't see it, which can be useful, but hard to use. I can see it everywhere else. I've tried using the troubleshoot, but it never finds anything wrong.

There could be some issues with the Google Chrome browser settings.
I would suggest you to un-install and re-install Google Chrome browser and check.

Goto Chrome Settings
> Disable "Use hardware acceleration.."-check box.
issue will be resolved after restarting the chrome (all instances including the one in agent running in background from tasks)

I wanted to add that the cursor disappears occasionally when I am switching between touch screen interaction, (typing, selecting, etc.), and cursor interaction. It"s not a consistent problem, only occasionally. It should be noted that I use Chrome. Closing Chrome by right clicking on the icon in the tray and selecting "close" is the only way that I could find to close Chrome. Restarting Chrome fixes the cursor issue every time. Minor problem, but an annoyance. I then click on the three bars in the upper right corner of Chrome, "Customize and Control Google Chrome", and select recent tabs to bring up the sites I was using before the cursor problem occurred. Hope this helps.

Although asking through Google forums is a good idea for persisting problems, the forum links you shared are over 2 years old.
