Mouse pointer disappear while browsing internet on Google Chrome browser

Original Title: Pointer disappears

Hello,

Recently, I've found that my pointer disappears whenever I'm on my default internet browsing site (Google Chrome). I can see it when using Internet Explore though. I have a HP Pavilion x2. I can still use even when I can't see it, which can be useful, but hard to use. I can see it everywhere else. I've tried using the troubleshoot, but it never finds anything wrong.

Manually close all of the open Google Chrome processes in your Task Manager. Restart Chrome. That's all I did and the mouse started working properly. Good luck!

issue will be resolved after restarting the chrome (all instances including the one in agent running in background from tasks)

It's so easy. I had the same problem, but method worked for me.                                                                           1.  Go to 'Customise and control Google Chrome', it's on the right hand corner.

         2. A box will pop up with several options, go to the bottom where it should say 'Settings'.

         3. A page will pop up on a New Tab, scroll down and click 'Advanced'.

         4. Now scroll down again to the very bottom, click the option that says 'Use hardware acceleration when avaliable'.

         5. Grey text should appear next to it, that says 'RELAUNCH'. Click that and then Chrome will reset. Along with it, your cursor should most certainly appear.

Hopefully, this helped anyone who was experiencing this issue.

I have not read all the threads, but I found that in Chrome's Settings, under Advanced, go to System.

Then, click on Use hardware acceleration when available.  Make sure it is off and relaunch the browser.

I understand that it is "ON" by default. As you click it, it will automatically change the switch, even without seeing it.  If in doubt, turn it on and then off and relaunch.

I hope it helps. Thank you to the community and their great ideas!  All these problems aren't cookie cutter fixes, as there are many variables in play.

    Stay confident!
