Copy Paste dialog not displayed in the foreground or as the focus window

every time I copy or paste & the dialog needs me to answer an overwrite, etc... the focus of the window doesn't come to the foreground of all the open windows.

VERY annoying.

Sounds like its the graphics card driver causing the issue. This isn't the expected behavior in windows. Graphics cards and shell programs can cause this issue.

    I've been fiddling with this issue for so long! I was able to track it down to conclude that it is caused by Google Chrome - at least on my system, it is.

    Whenever I'm running Google Chrome and try to do any file transfer on File Explorer, the dialog pops up "behind", hidden behind all other windows. However, if I close Chrome (closing all processes on the task manager), the dialog shows up as it is supposed. 

    Also, if you start a file transfer, open the dialog which is hidden, cancel, and then re-start the file transfer, the dialog will show up fine as well. 

    It's a very weird and ANNOYING bug. It didn't exist on Windows 8, I really don't understand why is this happening. My brother has Windows 8.1 as well and he doesn't have this issue. Some of my friends laptops that I formatted recently to reinstall Windows 8.1 (clean) don't have it too. 

    I hope MS fixes this ASAP because it's really driving me nuts. 

    Ps: I'm running Win8.1 x64 on an Asus N56VZ, Intel Core i7-3610, Intel HD 4000+Nvidia GT650m, 6gb RAM, 15,6" Full HD.

    I agree with all these Posts.

    It is really annoying, loosing time and sometimes using old (because still not copied) Files.

    Pls. Microsoft. This Design-Decision should be kicked!

    I'm 100% positive MS knows about this behavior and either can't figure out why or doesn't really care. 

    It is so frustrating when you think you have a copy/move in progress only to find out it's been sitting there waiting on you to act without notifying you clearly.  I guess all we can do is keep bitching until someone from MS reads this and actually cares enough to act.

    Got exactly the same issue, it's been annoying for a while but what really snapped was copying a load of files, thought they had been done only to see the yellow blink to see that it was waiting for a response. 

    I would have assumed that i carried out an action such as copying a file, moving a file i would see the results of this straight away. When i use a mac and copy files, the dialog pops up to let you know it's performing the action and to give you an idea of how long it's going to take. I wish there was a way to force the dialog to pop up and then disappear behind other windows only when deselected or when other windows are being clicked upon.
