Nokia Lumia 930 microphone problem

Hello.

I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.

 When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.

So far i've done:

Soft reset

Hard reset

Nokia Software recovery tool

Does anyone have this issue?

Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

    When I turn  the  phone to speaker mode, the person at the other end can't hear me.  I updated my nokia 930 to "denim" today but the problem with the microphone still not fixed.  Cortana can hear me now though.  Before the update I have to shout but now I speak at a normal level.

    I have updated my lumia 930 to lumia denim today, cortana and voice message are working fine now. But when you try to "train cortana" its not working at second level of training. I believe its the level of damaged microphone, maybe in this version they just change cortana and voice message to hear by the calling microphone. EDIT: After some tries, I finished the train and works, but camera recording is with no sound. App voice messages still not working too, like whatsapp or recorder voice.

    It would be nice if we have an official note about this issue. Its really sad a problem like that happening with microsoft top line phone.

    i have the same issue, 930 with denim. just purchased it. its as if the unit is trying to reduce background noise by only activating the microphone when my voice hits a certain volume level. Definitely seems to be software bug

    Hi, 

    is anyone looking into this? I have checked my videos, I didn't realize before, it seemed like sound was fine on videos, but when I am listening on headphones, one side is nearly mute, but not completely, one can hear a little bit, so the hardware seems to be working. It also appears that the issue only came in december, there was some kind of update (not denim) which made it worse. Is this a bigger thing or are we the only ones with this problem? What is Microsoft/Nokia saying?

    I'm from Brazil and I have the same issue, mic doesn't work fine when using the speaker at a call and one side of the stereo sound at recordings is 90% lower than the other side, also reccording programs like whatsapp or skype ain't working aswell.

    We also have a topic at the Brazilian Nokia Comunitty about this issue and we have around 100~120ppl with the same issue, seems it's a generic problem and microsoft/nokia ain't doing nothing about it.  Sad :(
