I have emailed Anovo directly. But I haven't been given any reference numbers for the repairs hopefully they are able to locate the cases using just my email address. I have queried why they are replacing the second phone. I am determined to find out what the problem is. They have repaired mine so unless they claim it was a fluke, they better have a satisfactory response.
Nokia Lumia 930 microphone problem
Hello.
I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.
When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.
So far i've done:
Soft reset
Hard reset
Nokia Software recovery tool
Does anyone have this issue?
Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

2015-08-20T12:30:35+00:00 This thread seems to have been diverted from the initial problem. My daughter's Nokia 930 also only works on speaker. When against the ear with speaker off, the remote person cannot hear what is said. All that is heard by them is static. On this end of the phone call she can hear the other end perfectly. Has anyone found a fix for this?

2015-08-20T17:13:58+00:00 At this point there is no fix not an easy one anyways some people have reported that they had their phones replaced others they had to the motherboard replaced but there is no clear indication of what the real problem is. our acomplaints are still fall on deaf ears with Nokia and Microsoft it is very frustrating. Some here on this blog said they are going to raise the issue at different levels to get more attention but at this point I am not aware of any results yet

2015-08-20T23:24:45+00:00 Thanks for your reply. It's a shame for Microsoft as much as my daughter. She's about to go away from Windows phone and all of her friends know about her problems with this phone. It seems Microsoft has really changed their business model for the better in recent months. Given that she had mac at school this could have been Microsoft's chance to win her and her friends over. But things like this undermine all their progress in capturing the market with the next generation.

2015-08-20T23:43:19+00:00 Hi, I have an update on this. I got my replacement phone and all was going great for a few days!
then I had problems again. My initial problem was that the mic was not working on speaker phone for me. everything else was fine.
Then I had a new problem with the replacement phone.
I had the mic not working when NOT in speakerphone mode! crazy I know! It was the inverse of my first problem.
The funny thing was that this happened in only certain areas! even more spooky.
Anyway this made me very angry and I slammed my phone on the carpet in my office.
The back cracked open a bit and I pulled it off completely :) I had done this before on the old phone...
I blew out some small bits of dust, gave it all a good whack in there and put the cover back on.
Now the phone works like a gem!
Moral of the story, if all else fails... just hit it hard! or with a hammer...or throw it.
It makes you feel really good and you may fix your phone :)
