Hello.

I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.

When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.

So far i've done:

Soft reset

Hard reset

Nokia Software recovery tool

Does anyone have this issue?

Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

    Hi!

I have to take the Phone again to the Care Centre to replace the Motherboard.

It may take few more days!

I haven't decided when to take the phone, because I'm really busy these days!

I felt that I became a victim of a poor design!

I live in Mexico and I don't have a Nokia care near by. But I am dying to hear from someone to tell us what the fix is. Hope to hear from you NUWAB77 OR DEPIEM soon. My phone out of the box had these issues with the microphone. When finding updated to denim Cortana note fur the most part hears me and voiced dictation for the default texting but anything else that has voice recognition nothing works including video recording. What a shame that I can't use my phone to record any videos since n

It doesn't record any sound. The thing is I bought mine online and it doesn't come with any warranty. I really want to use my phone and be a windows phone user but hey what can I say. We are taking to deaf ears. The thing is you hear stories about Nokia or Microsoft sending phones as part of marketing strategies to people celebrities mostly who damaged their Android or IOS phone to get them to switch. What about us poor people who we bought our phones and wanted to switch but no one is listening to us. IT SUCKS BRING POOR.

It's wired to here that Nokia does not have a service center in Mexico.

I shifted to windows phone, since I got a incredible experience with Nokia tablet (Lumia 2520), where I got it from UK.

However, I'm paying a heavy price with lumia 930, being a full time employee I do not have time to waste for the phone, where, for last one month I visited four times to the service centre and planning to visit again , next week to replace the motherboard.

My objective is to trade the Nokia phone immediately after the repair and shift to Apple.

As per your information, I think one of the mice is not functioning and needed an repair to fix the matter, since you don't have a service centre, please check with trustworthy mobile phone repair shop. As per my understanding, it's not a major repair.

After this bitter lesson, I will not recommend Nokia for anyone!

The thing is you run a google search regarding this microphone issue and its not limited to the Lumia 930. It actually goes back to the Lumia 800 and 900 and a host of the new ones like 929 925 730 1020 1520 ....etc. I just can't believe the poor quality that's being produced by Nokia and Microsoft. I am sure there is a Nokia center in Mexico city but I am 3 hrs away. So per your recommendation I need to find a trusty repair shop and work on it. But I really keep thinking and hoping that's it's a software issue and hoping that future updates will resolve it somehow. The denim update did fix part of the problem but not all that's why I think it might be software issue. But at this point I am not really sure anymore.

Just noticed in another forum that someone resolved the second mic problem by disabling Cortana and then rebooting their phone - that would point to a software issue and not hardware.

My phone is still out for repair at the moment, so can somebody else test this?
