It sounds like it's faulty, I'd try and get a replacement from the retailer if I was you.
Nokia Lumia 930 microphone problem
Hello.
I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.
When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.
So far i've done:
Soft reset
Hard reset
Nokia Software recovery tool
Does anyone have this issue?
Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

2014-09-26T12:16:06+00:00 Same aweful problem.
It seems that second microphone is problematic.
During a call every thing is ok until I click the speaker. I can hear the peer clearly but he/she can not hear me clearly and I should shout.
Same problem when recording a sound using any recorder or taking films with the camera.
So using skype or same programs is impossible for me.
The retailer says that it is a software problem but I think it is faulty.
I made soft reset bot nothing chages.
I am living in iran and there is no guaranty for nokia mobiles inside iran and I feel sad these days.

2014-10-06T12:53:45+00:00 Hi, mahdavi.
Welcome to your Nokia community. ;-)
There are other fixes we can try to further isolate the issue. See: Nokia Lumia 930 - Troubleshooter. If the listed fixes did not work and your phone is still covered by your retailer's warranty, we suggest you ask them if a replacement is possible. In case such option is not available, it would be best to visit a Nokia Care Point (NCP) and have it checked by a technician. There are NCP's in Tehran, Iran. Just let us know if you're from there or you are near that area.
By the way, the link we provided will direct you to a support page intended for the Philippines.
All the best! ;-)
