Nokia Lumia 930 microphone problem

Hello.

I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.

 When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.

So far i've done:

Soft reset

Hard reset

Nokia Software recovery tool

Does anyone have this issue?

Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

    Having a similiar issue.

    Phone calls and playing music/videos work fine, but voice is not being picked up in video recording/Shazam/speech commands.

    Anyone know if this is a software or hardware issue? Not sure if a drop of the phone caused this to happen.

    Any advice/solutions greatly appreciated.

    I had hoped that the denim update would bring the fix then updated 2 then windows 10 albeit it's the TP but nada. Nothing happened. If there were only a glimpse of acknowledgment on MS part of the issue then maybe just maybe I would be opportunistic that the next update would bring on the fix.

    I guess the microphone issue isn't hardware as I'm sure that microphone is working. It gotta be something related to noise cancellation because when I shout near the microphone it does record the sound.it works in WhatsApp as well as Skype & Ms camera too! So gotta be some software problem and lets hope windows 10 fixes it. :|

    Firmware: 8.10.14219.341

    I have a 930 with the Denim Update and before this update my microphones worked fine but this update has stopped my mics working when I put it on speakerphone and I keep getting asked if I am in a different room to the phone.

    Having read these 5 pages of posts I can see some people say turn Cortana off but Cortana is disabled on mine because it's nothing like the advert because if you use UK Keyboard settings it just opens Bing. Others say give feedback to Microsoft, which I have done in the past yet my suggestions like everyone else's have fallen on deaf ears.

    Just checked for an update and nothing. I only bought the phone to plug tinto Visual Studio and when Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 128 Gb in Black (sim-free) is released in the UK on the Samsung website I will be purchasing that and say goodbye forever to the Nokia Lumia 930 and other Windows Phones.

    Tried to reinstall software from message before but no luck, also had only Lumia camera  and nomore Microsoft camera.

    I am using skype and when my wife speaks I push speaker so i can hear she,   when I speak i must push speaker again to start the microphone to work and she can hear me...

    This very ooppff,     sure Microsoft won't  fix, apearently they don't care less.     I tried to give them a chance and bought their best phone but this is not acceptable for me.   If i care customers same this on work i will lose my job 1 minute.        I never had any issue with an iPhone.  I am fed up with the Lumia 930  and today I'll be happy to pay a hugh amount of money for an iPhone 6+.     Sorry guys but  this piece of scrap I will dump in the nearest waist bin and try to forget that i lost so much money, never again Microsoft.  i'll stick with Apple
