Hello.

I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.

When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.

So far i've done:

Soft reset

Hard reset

Nokia Software recovery tool

Does anyone have this issue?

Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

    Hello,

I also have this problem like many others and for me it started a few months ago. When I record a voice memo or make a video with the camera the second microphone doesn't work.

First I did send my phone two times to the repair service of T-mobile, but they 'Couldn't find the problem'... Then I decided to send it to Microsoft and I hoped that they would fix the problem, because they know their own phones better than T-mobile and also know about this issue. In the description I was very clear and I said like 3 times that the SECOND MICROPHONE isn't working when recording videos or making voice memos.

Today I received my phone from repair and guess what? They didn't do anything, only a functional test... So I tested the second microphone and it stil isn't working! I just don't understand why they didn't repair my phone, it's a well known problem and I made it very clear that my second microphone isn't working.

I'm very frustrated right now, I made a phone call to microsoft and they said that I have to send it again for repair to them. I did already send it 3 times for repair and I still have the same problem...

For me this was the last time that I bought a Nokia, Microsoft doesn't care about us and if you send your phone to them for repair because your SECOND MICROPHONE isn't working, they wil do NOTHING.

btw. I live in The Netherlands and I had to send the phone to a German repair center.

ok so I took my 930 back to Telstra in Sydney. they are sending it away for repair.....

they knew about it and said a lot of their staff have the problem and its well known!!!

they also said that if it cant be fixed I can get a different phone ;)

if I drag that out I may get a 950 to replace!!!! its only a few weeks away :)

    I have the same problem.

Did all the suggestions that I can find on the web but nothing works.

So, decided to send in for warranty.

    Sent on July 15, 2015.

Called the service center today to find out the status of my warranty and diagnostics.

I was informed that they have to replace the whole motherboard and I have to wait for a month for the replacement part to arrive!

I reside in Malaysia. This could due to the long festive holiday that is going on in Malaysia.

Can't Microsoft adopts the wonderful practices of Apple by replacing users with a brand new or refurbished phones so that user do not have to wait for a month?

I did ask the service center why not they just give me a new phone instead of asking me to wait and the reply was that it is not the policy given.

I have same problem as **mahdavi**. I bought my phone in Israel.

During a call every thing is ok until I click the speaker.

I can hear the peer clearly but he/she can not hear me clearly and I should shout.

I was advised by the retailer to raise volume of the speaker, during call, to maximum. He told me that it influence microphone sensitivity too. I did it, It did not help.

I have the feeling this is a general problem in Nokia 930.

THIS PROBLEM IS FOR ALL LUMIA 930 and Microsoft sleeps.......

There are Nokia Care Points in Tehran, according to an October 2014 post on the first page in this long thread. The Nokia Customer support website is found on:

    http://www.my-nokia.ir/

Try call them? - It must be possible for them to at least report the defect of your phone officially to Microsoft Mobile.
