I have the same problem with my Lumia 930. I use Nokia brand almost 20 years without any remarks and now I'm very disappointed. Going to send it for repair.
Nokia Lumia 930 microphone problem
Hello.
I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.
When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.
So far i've done:
Soft reset
Hard reset
Nokia Software recovery tool
Does anyone have this issue?
Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

2015-12-13T12:36:15+00:00 Hi All, I have been following this thread for some time as have 930 that I cannot be heard-on while on a call.
I was an MS phone person till I seen how MS avoided this major issue without any genuine comment or fix, I had purchased new 830 phone for work use days before 930 went faulty and now am so angry to see the provided support and I must now use 830 for both personal and work use. My 930 is out of warranty and as many have stated was a very expensive phone and to be out a further large expense to have a what must be know issue by MS fixed is too much.
I will not be looking to MS again for a phone or any hardware and think they should stick with software as they do not know how to provide customers with a hardware support. I wish I could make all prospective customers of 950 know what has happened with some many 930's before they decide to buy one. Sorry to repeat what has been said before but just wanted to add my penny's worth. Cheers.....

2015-12-12T16:11:05+00:00 A friend and I have the same problem and we literally talked to everybody with Microsoft we could. They will not service or replace ours as we are in the US. They wouldn't even allow us to ship them to a service center that could. I can't imagine why Microsoft has gone from 100% smartphone penetration to about 3%. But for those that would like to know how they are doing lately, be sure to check out the threads on the 950xl. That's even a bigger debacle.
