Hello.
I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.
When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.
So far i've done:
Soft reset
Hard reset
Nokia Software recovery tool
Does anyone have this issue?
Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

Lets just get over these failures from Microsoft.
I moved to Android 5 months ago - was still using my L930 till that point.
I was an early adopter of Surface range, Lumia range etc.
I will come back when there is a surface phone WITH apps.
Till then, Android is basically Windows extension

The microphone works when you use the device as a telephone, it has a big functioning problem with other apps. such as Skype or Telegram or.....

I did a test with Lumia Phone Test Application.
Microphone 2 does not work fine and that is the issue. It is not broken, it's active and it catches sounds, but the volume is super low. So when I speak to it, it's like if I am miles away. And probably the mic 2 is the one used for noise reduction during the calls, or it has similar functions.
Since it works bad, the phone may think that nobody is speaking, or there is too much noise. Don't know how it interprets the data it receives from that mic, but at least I found out the culprit.
Mic 2 should be detachable from the motherboard, it seems it is not welded to the rest of the phone like other microphones are, so I will try to change it by myself. On eBay the mic i need costs just some euros.
Hi, Yes this is exact what happened to my 930. Installed new win10 (at time was actual v8.?) and issue started, Nokia/Microsoft offered no resolve and was just out of warranty - not a happy bunny. Have tried all updates, back dates etc without resolve. Diag reports 2 mic's not active. Try the diag program available and see what yours report at the mic's test? Cheers......
