Hello.

I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.

When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.

So far i've done:

Soft reset

Hard reset

Nokia Software recovery tool

Does anyone have this issue?

Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

    Hi all,

Well just after ..one month, I think, after I received a new replace mobo from Microsoft Service center, thinking all have been resolved, nightmare starts again. This mics started to have the same old issues i.e. can't record voice message on Whatsapp or even voice record, video on portrait mode doesn't have sound recorded but on landscape mode the sound is recorded etc.

This has made me totally given up on Microsoft. No proper troubleshooting after all this long complains since the product was launched until now. This show the attitude of this mobile team in handling flagship models. Hence, even how good 950 is going to be, I don't think I wanna get one because Microsoft attitude is solely money making and now after sales care at all. Very sad but true. They should just stay in OS creation.

I am considering Blackberry, now Priv is going to be launched here in Malaysia. And its runs on Android but with security that Windows is boasting about. Their after sales is far better than Microsoft.

Seriously, I do missed Nokia service in Malaysia. You get your phone back in 3 days max. Microsoft takes One and a half MONTHS for a flagship model!!!!

Windows 10 is superb but without hardware, it can just stay superb on news stand. You provide a piece of good hardware but without after sales service and support, you might as well send it to a museum for display.

Well, Microsoft Mobile team, if you ever read your forum that your company created, please sack yourself.

Thank you and have a nice day!! By the way, its Friday today in Malaysia. :)

    Hey all,

Had my 930 for more than a year now, had the same issue as all after Lumia denim update so I sent it to warranty.

They replaced the motherboard (Which took them 1.5 month to do it).

Got it back on cyan, couldn't upgrade to denim even with preview for developers (something related to retail boards).

Honestly didn't care as I thought denim maybe the problem, but now even on cyan the same problem returned....

Cortana, phone calls, skype, Recording, Camera all cant hear me until I shout really loud.

    What I noticed is:

    1- Happened on Cyan update.

2- Before I plug any headphones in the jack.

Now I'm out of warranty so no hope to get it fixed and tbh don't wanna spend money for it may happen again.

Posted here to point out these two points, maybe that'll shed some light.

Wow. If this is true it's astonishing news and more ought to be done from Microsoft to address all customers with the same issues.

My Nokia Lumia 930 has the same issue, I took it to the Nokia Care service center in Dubai, they said all Nokia Lumia 930 Second Edition made by Microsoft has faulty microphone.

They will be replacing it for free under warranty, but will take up to 2 weeks as spare parts not available.
