Ok. Reinstalled Lumia camera. Turned off Cortana. Restarted phone as promoted. Did an extra soft reset. Launched Lumia camera took a video. Touched button to right corner to view video but video didn't exist add if I had not taken a video. Tried again and again with no luck. Counter starts when you push video but when you go to see it it doesn't exist. Launched the Microsoft camera took s video but games thing when I swiped to see video its not there. K now I did another soft reset went back to Lumia camera took a video its there but with a vet faint sound hardly audible. If you speak to the ear piece yea the ear piece then you get some sound but still faint. Repeated with the Microsoft camera the video is there but similar sound output as with the Lumia cam. Default text app works fine with voice as before. The soft key search button opens up Bing and voice recognition works fine. Microsoft translate app no voice recognition I get the I didn't catch that message. So I want able to duplicate the results the other post spoke of. But it's seems there is a problem caused by the two cameras both our individually. Interesting test but no fix.
Nokia Lumia 930 microphone problem
Hello.
I got an issue with my Lumia 930 that i bought today.
When i've got an incomming/outgoing call the person on the other end can't hear me, but i can hear them clearly. It works when i put the call on speaker, but i want to be able to call someone and not sharing the conversation with everyone around me.
So far i've done:
Soft reset
Hard reset
Nokia Software recovery tool
Does anyone have this issue?
Is there a fix for this or should i return it?

2015-03-09T18:58:25+00:00 Thanks for testing jyasin.
I've just reread the other post and that user noted that Microsoft Camera killed the sound, but Lumia Camera was ok. So, if you have the time, it might be worth testing again.

2015-03-09T17:43:04+00:00 Ok I tested it. I turned Cortana off asked me to restart phone I did that then I did a soft reset. Tested video recording on the Microsoft camera ( don't have Lumia camera installed) and nothing no sound. Treated Microsoft translate app by clicking on voice but nothing mi microphone didn't hear me. Don't have sim card in phone so couldn't test WhatsApp voice recording but I am sure it would not work. So DEPIEM sorry but nothing worked but I must admit your post gave me some glimmer of hope. So neck to dm square one. In the mean time went back to my trusty reliable nexus 5.

2015-03-09T16:21:05+00:00 Just noticed in another forum that someone resolved the second mic problem by disabling Cortana and then rebooting their phone - that would point to a software issue and not hardware.
My phone is still out for repair at the moment, so can somebody else test this?

2015-03-08T15:35:28+00:00 The thing is you run a google search regarding this microphone issue and its not limited to the Lumia 930. It actually goes back to the Lumia 800 and 900 and a host of the new ones like 929 925 730 1020 1520 ....etc. I just can't believe the poor quality that's being produced by Nokia and Microsoft. I am sure there is a Nokia center in Mexico city but I am 3 hrs away. So per your recommendation I need to find a trusty repair shop and work on it. But I really keep thinking and hoping that's it's a software issue and hoping that future updates will resolve it somehow. The denim update did fix part of the problem but not all that's why I think it might be software issue. But at this point I am not really sure anymore.
