Windows Live Mail can not copy hyperlinks from one e-mail to another.

With such unclear instruction in bits and pieces I am even more reluctant to mess with the registry especially where terms and confusing. "Add" to what? . Add where?  What "images" are you talking about? You have not defined your terms and, unless yo do, communication is impossible and no one can know what you are talking about.

None more example. No! there is no ".reg" file on the desktop. That file downloads as a 'ini file. So once again you are not communicating clearly and consistently and that is in invitation do disaster.

All this is the reason is why others in this conversation do not want  to mess with their registry.

What on earth are you talking about re "images"?  This is not an issue of imbedded images but hyperlinks in text. That is NOT an image. Once again there is very poor communication here.

Equivocations such as "seemed" and "might be mitigated" are not at all assuring and the admission of an inability to test one make this even more risky.

This is an awful lot of back and forth to be left with no clarity. If we can  not even agree on what words or terms even mean then communication is impossible. This has gotten very muddled. We need a clear, clean, road map in one place. None of us have  the time to sleuth out what you mean and who on earth has the time to slog through over a dozen undigested and unclear responses to figure out what you are talking about?

That is exactly what  I told you not to do. Do not complain that directions don't work then you don't  follow directions.

Sorry, John. You seem absolutely determined to misunderstand every statement that anyone makes in this thread and others that you've posted in. If you follow instructions I have given slavishly, the problem I defined will be solved. If you're not able to do this yourself, may I suggest that you find someone who can understand the instructions to help you? I'm going to bow out.

I totally understand your frustrations. And I totally agree that Microsoft has dropped the ball regarding this issue, along with many others.

I see that you have just recently joined this Microsoft Community site.  Perhaps you do not realize that this is a peer to peer forum, and that Microsoft proper has virtually no input here, and that is a shame.  This site has many many volunteers to try and help others where Microsoft has not.  These volunteers give freely of there time to help others, and are not, I repeat, are not employed by Microsoft.

I would suggest that you sit back, take a deep breath, and accept that these volunteers are trying their best to help people like me and you.

And lastly, I would like to say that Firedog has been the most helpful to me personally, going far beyond what Microsoft has done.

Please show him the respect he has earned in this forum.
