Windows Live Mail can not copy hyperlinks from one e-mail to another.

Since I implemented the fix all emails are slightly wider than previous. I will try to explain so I don't sound like a complete numpty!

I don't think this is an individual formatting issue as other than specifying a font I have not changed any settings.

I usually, reply to emails with the message restored down to a suitable size but have noticed that since the fix there is always a scroll bar at the base of any emails and the width of the email message is slightly wider then previous so there is always the option to scroll slightly to the right.

This is there regardless of the size. There is always that extra width even when the message itself is maximised.

Is anyone else experiencing this? If so I just thought I would mention it as if a fix is going to be implemented long term by Microsoft.......

I am experiencing this also, but I was so excited about being able to again copy and paste text with live links, that it seemed trivial (but it will likely get annoying as time passes).

I sent messages to another of my addresses to check the formatting, and the messages that were too wide in the composing mode had normal formatting when received and in my sent messages folder.

Tom, it was quite clear from the beginning of this long thread that this curious hyperlink problem was an IE11 phenomenon. Sorry, I should have checked with you before suggesting that you try it. The registry fix applies only to machines with IE11 installed (which you should also have by now, half a year after it was released). I've no idea whether changing the default browser emulation to IE10 for Windows Live Mail will have a similar effect. You might try it - I don't think it could hurt. Set a restore point just in case. 

1. Close down running programs, then type regedit into the start search box and press Enter. Give UAC permission when asked.
2. Navigate to this key in the left-hand pane and click on it:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATION 3. In the right-hand pane, double-click on wlmail.exe to reveal a little Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value dialogue. In the Value data box, you should see  2af9  highlighted. Type 2711 instead, then click OK. 4. If yours is a 64-bit machine, navigate to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MAIN\FeatureControl\FEATURE_BROWSER_EMULATIONand repeat step 3. 5. Close Registry Editor and reboot the computer, then test Windows Live Mail again.

In consequence, the windows update of each version of Internet Explorer (not wlm) should contain the different fix for the version. Those registry values should be set at the installation of each version of ie.

Just got back from fishing.

I have installed IE11, and I have downloaded and installed the the Hoge.reg. as per your instructions.

Once more Step 5. I forwarded the message that I have saved for just this purpose. 

FYI unfortunately I once again get the message "One or more pictures cannot be found - etc." and the end result has not changed.  I had had high hopes!
