Windows Live Mail can not copy hyperlinks from one e-mail to another.

Yes, I just noticed this problem today, I use hyperlinks in the signatures of all outgoing emails as social media links.  What a PIA.  I forwarded mails to myself to test it out, with no links.

I was able to highlight the link which I have as the full URL, right click, copy it, and then mark it as a hyperlink, and it worked.  If I didn't "copy it" first, it wouldn't display the URL in the hyperlink window, and I would have to manually enter it in.  If I used copy first, the URL appeared in the link box, and then I could just click ok and the link would appear.  So this worked as a temporary fix, but I sure don't feel like doing that on all my outgoing mail...

Following through with a test  by forwarding the mail with manually entered links showed that the links were in place, but copying the entire set of links and pasting them again in the same email resulted in dead links, the original problem that started this thread.  The links are not copying correctly.

Here are the steps to get a .eml file:

1. Open Windows Live Mail.
2. Hover your mouse to the message list to click, drag and drop the sample email your desktop screen.

Please follow the instructions in this article: **Snipping tool**, to learn how you can capture a screenshot. Here are the steps to upload the files:

1. On the private message tab, click Upload a File.
2. Click Select.
3. Navigate to where the file you want to upload is saved on your computer and click Submit.

I have attempted to reply to this in the Private Message section.  I couldn't find the Snipping Tool, just loads of references to it.  Hopefully the files I attached to your private message will be sufficient.

To be expected in view of what I wrote in my last reply. The choice of character encoding has no bearing on the hyperlink problem.

Have switched to QP but the loss of Hyperlink problem persists.....
