Windows Live Mail can not copy hyperlinks from one e-mail to another.

Hey all.

Long story short, I am writing this for my mother who current runs a dog boarding business as well as various other e-mail accounts, ranging from fan clubs to personal ones. She has a draft e-mail saved which contains information and links she would COPY and PASTE into e-mails prior to sending them. Essentially, these are signatures. No matter which signature she copies and pastes, each one has at least one weblink.

As of yesterday, when copying and pasting that information, the link does not copy with the text. Instead of pasting the text as a hyperlink, like she has been able to, it simply shows the text without any clickable option.

I have double checked the options, Read all messages in plain text is unticked, as well as the Mail Sending Format and News Sending Formation both being set to HTML.

Can anyone help please?

    Rumour is that the offending code is part of IE 11 which is deeply embedded in W8 code.  Microsoft refuse to comment or offer a timescale for a fix.....  Are we surprised?

    Ok,  that is very helpful for where the complete url is there.

    But what can be done for alias?

    Where is the offending code at?  Can that update or program be deleted?

    OK for Windows 7 but not for W8 where the offending code is deeply embedded.  While we wait for Microsoft to get their act together, there is a clumsy workaround. 

    Having pasted the URL into Livemail (losing the hyperlink) doing carriage return re-activates the hyperlink.  Then backspace to get back to where you wanted to be.  This only works if you are copying the full hyperlink rather than an alias.

    check for your latest updates in windows update and click UNINSTALL IE 11 update

    As I have Windows 7 it still had previous versions installed I guess - so all I did was uninstall the IE11 update and restart my computer

    Reading through this forum it may not be possible with Windows 8 as it automatically comes with IE11 apparently

    I am not an expert in computers at all...

    How did you uninstall IE11?

    Did you have something else backed up to replace it,  or does it do that automatically?
