Windows Live Mail can not copy hyperlinks from one e-mail to another.

After your request for a video reproduction of the problem, I subsequently had a message saying that the engineers were fully aware of the problem and would, in time, provide a fix.  When I asked for a timecale I was told that as the problem waas complex, it would take some time.  I then pointed out that someone had already provided a fix on this thread involving just a few lines of code.  As it involved messing with the registry entries I opted not to use it.

In summary, I believe MS engineers have been on the case for some months - but no fix as yet.....

I have just reviewed this thread from beginning to end. 

On June 21, 2014,  Helen C provided me with a private message, asking, in part,

"Our Support Escalation Engineers would like to ask a video or step by step screen shots of the steps that you took that led to the error in question. "

I was remiss in doing so, as providing a video is beyond my abilities.

If anyone is interested in doing this, feel free to volunteer, although I am skeptical that it will do any good.

Since I implemented the fix all emails are slightly wider than previous. I will try to explain so I don't sound like a complete numpty!

I don't think this is an individual formatting issue as other than specifying a font I have not changed any settings.

I usually, reply to emails with the message restored down to a suitable size but have noticed that since the fix there is always a scroll bar at the base of any emails and the width of the email message is slightly wider then previous so there is always the option to scroll slightly to the right.

This is there regardless of the size. There is always that extra width even when the message itself is maximised.

Is anyone else experiencing this? If so I just thought I would mention it as if a fix is going to be implemented long term by Microsoft.......

Mick, I have the same problems, even now.. I got more problems than before, I going to have to roll back and cope with a almost eternal problem "Hiperlink Copy-Paste" until Microsoft fix this pesky error

Let me help you with your issue in Windows Live Mail that when copying and pasting a template it shows a double spacing. I have reproduce your issue on our end and does not create a double spacing when a copy and paste an emails from Live Mail to Microsoft Word. For us to isolate your issue, kindly verify the following information:

-What are the exact steps you performed when copying and pasting the template on from Live Mail to Microsoft Word?

-Does this happen on all emails from Live Mail?

-If possible kindly provide us a screenshot of the template from Microsoft Word and the .eml file of the email message from Live Mail.

BUT when I copy/paste a template from Word (I do that all the time), line spacing is strange: it creates double spacing instead of normal, this is espcially true in between paragraphs.

Any idea how to solve this ?

Microsoft, PLEASE fix this for us !!!
