Windows Live Mail can not copy hyperlinks from one e-mail to another.

Since I implemented the fix all emails are slightly wider than previous. I will try to explain so I don't sound like a complete numpty!

I don't think this is an individual formatting issue as other than specifying a font I have not changed any settings.

I usually, reply to emails with the message restored down to a suitable size but have noticed that since the fix there is always a scroll bar at the base of any emails and the width of the email message is slightly wider then previous so there is always the option to scroll slightly to the right.

This is there regardless of the size. There is always that extra width even when the message itself is maximised.

Is anyone else experiencing this? If so I just thought I would mention it as if a fix is going to be implemented long term by Microsoft.......

On a separate point, one thing I have noticed is that all of my email templates which were designed, saved and previously opened with the Verdana are now all in Arial font!

Don't suppose there is a easy quick fix rather than me having to create new emails and re-saving them?

... the steps show by ¡Firedog worked fine ... I am now back to sending emails with links in.

For anyone else watching this, I've uploaded a reg file to OneDrive; you can download the file Hoge.reg and save it on your desktop. I would suggest that you test by taking the following steps:

1. Close down Windows Live Mail.
2. Set a restore point.
3. Double-click on Hoge.reg to add the entries it contains to your registry. You will have to give UAC permission. You should receive an acknowledgement that the addition was successful.
4. Launch Windows Live Mail and test copying links into a message compose window.
5. For a possible little bonus, try forwarding a message with embedded images that failed to send properly previously.

I tried the 1st registry change suggested by CharlieG100 although this didn't seem to work.

For those doubting though the steps show by ¡Firedog worked fine and I have little knowledge of registry changes and managed to implement it within a minute.

I am now back to sending emails with links in. Thanks!!

Tom, don't be too quick to write this off as a bad job. I hardly dare say this, but having made Hoge's recommended change to the registry (it's really a very simple change that can't hurt), I did a little experiment. I found one of Electrojim's messages that wouldn't forward with pictures intact. I forwarded it to one of my spare accounts. It arrived intact . . .

Very interesting Noel.  I have not as yet implemented Hoge's solution, but it had crossed my mind that possibly the forwarding pictures within text issue could also be resolved in a similar fashion. 

I still believe that Microsoft should provide updates to correct these items, and I would hope it would be sooner than later or not at all.

I also believe that Hoge and yourself should be recognised  by Microsoft and appropriately compensated for solving their problems.
