Nokia Lumia 520 Error: Unable to find bootable option

My Nokia Lumia 520 unexpectadly shut down and reebotted as i proceeded to pause my music. now the only reaction i reiceve from it is a black screen which says Error: Unable to find bootable option. Press any key to shut down.

if anyone has only proven solutions in fixing this issue, please let me know.

Hi,

The "Unable to find bootable option" is comparable to a defective hard drive in a computer: It will still do the initial start-up and then be unable to do any more. The recovery tool still recognizes the phone when connected, but is unable to install the operating system in the phone when it comes to that. Again comparable to booting a PC on the install DVD and then be unable to complete the install.

The phone needs mechanical repair. If it is out of warranty, then is is also beyond economical repair, unfortunately.

If it is still in warranty, then please consult the point of sale.

    hola que tal! yo tengo El Mismo incomveniente y me he dirijido al punto Nokia Care más cercano y me han dicho que es un problema que es ocasionado desde que el equipo sale de fábrica en una de sus memorias y que no tiene solución. Yo lo he comprado hace un año y medio y obviamente aunque la garantía está prescripta, es un problema ocasionado al equipo desde Nokia y pienso que me tienen que retribuir mi confianza hacia la marca con un nuevo equipo.La falla informada es que no bootea. Y el service oficial es en la ciudad de Mar del Plata, provincia de Buenos Aires Argentina. El nombre del service oficial técnico es: SERVICEL ******@servicel.com con domicilio en la calle Belgrano 2545 de la misma ciudad.Cp.7600

    So I looked a bit more into this and it turns out you can get a replacement motherboard through ebay for $17.95 (US Dollars) and unless you have the At&t network as your service provider you will have to unlock it to be able to use it with other providers. I was able to find an unlock company online that I have used before that is willing to provide an unlock code for $8.95 (US Dollars). There is a video on youtube that shows you how to remove the motherboard in 40 seconds along with another video that does a complete tear down of the phone in about 19 minutes. So the entire repair should only cost a total of $26.90 (US Dollars) and a few minutes of your time. Keep in mind that you can also currently find the Nokia Lumia 520 on ebay in working condition already unlocked for $49.99 (US Dollars) so is it worth to even bother repairing it? For me it is but thats because I have repaired phones in the past and know what I will be getting into.

    P.s. You can't break what is already broken! ;)
