Nokia Lumia 520 Error: Unable to find bootable option

My Nokia Lumia 520 unexpectadly shut down and reebotted as i proceeded to pause my music. now the only reaction i reiceve from it is a black screen which says Error: Unable to find bootable option. Press any key to shut down.

if anyone has only proven solutions in fixing this issue, please let me know.

Hi,

The "Unable to find bootable option" is comparable to a defective hard drive in a computer: It will still do the initial start-up and then be unable to do any more. The recovery tool still recognizes the phone when connected, but is unable to install the operating system in the phone when it comes to that. Again comparable to booting a PC on the install DVD and then be unable to complete the install.

The phone needs mechanical repair. If it is out of warranty, then is is also beyond economical repair, unfortunately.

If it is still in warranty, then please consult the point of sale.

    This is what worked for me: [ SOLVED ]

    Simple steps, 

    1. Follow #1
    2. My Device is not detected
    3. Follow #4 below
    4. Mine got recognized as "Unknown Firmware"
    5. Allow it to download and reinstall software ~2GB

    That's it. 

    I did the above with trial and error and later found more structured instructions at:

    Windows Device Recovery Tool (for Lumia phones, LG Lancet, HTC One, and HTC 8X phones running Windows Phone 8.0/8.1 or Windows 10)

    1. Download and install Windows Device Recovery Tool to your computer. If possible, make sure that your phone's battery is fully charged.
    2. When the installation has finished, start the application and the main screen will appear:

    1. If your phone is not automatically detected, disconnect all phones from your computer and press My phone was not detected at the bottom of the main screen.
    2. If prompted, select the phone manufacturer.
    3. Connect your phone to your computer with a compatible USB cable.
    4. Wait for your computer to detect the connected phone and follow the screen instructions. If the phone is not connected within one minute you can try to restart your phone: Keep USB connected, press and hold the Power and Volume down keys simultaneously. Release the pressed keys when phone vibrates.
    5. Press Install software to start installing the software to your phone.

    Nokia Software Recovery Tool (for other Nokia phones)

    1. Download and install Nokia Software Recovery Tool to your computer. If possible, make sure that your phone's battery is fully charged.
    2. Start Nokia Software Recovery Tool, and connect your phone to your computer with a compatible USB cable. If prompted, select the correct USB mode on your phone: Nokia Suite or Modem.
    3. Follow the instructions shown on the tool.
