Windows 8.1 Update for x64-based Systems (KB2919355)

Installation status: Failed

Error details: Code 800F0922

System got to 89% then said it couldn't complete the updates and that it would back out the updates.  15 minutes later, I'm back where I started.

Is it possible windows defender or other virus scanner blocked this update?

Aww man.  Are you kidding?  I just did a system Refresh, essentially uninstalling all my applications.  Was able to successfully install all the updates from there.

But I looked at my System Reserved partition and it's at 0% free!  Actually, 0.612 MB free out of 349 MB allocated.

Booted to Linux and did some poking around.  The file consuming all the space on the System Reserved partition is named Winre.wim.  A search on that file name in the forums shows that this file has been a problem since the first Win 8.1 upgrade.  There are quite a few threads about it.  The file is used for Windows Recovery and the System Image Backup.  The file tends to get too big quite often causing other operations to fail.

Increased System Reserved to 1 GB but problem isn't solved. Used to get 800F0922 Error code, but now the installation fails when it reaches 99% after the second restart

Hoe do we go about increasing the partition space ... If that is what is needed?  Thanks, George
