Suggest you get a Micosoft Moderator from Micosoft Community to obtain a case number from Micosoft. Have MS support help to solve the problem. If they are unable to help then do an in place installation of Windows 8.1. This worked for me several months ago and am still run 81 with the update.
Windows update KB2919355 fails to install - Error code 800F0922
Windows 8.1 Update for x64-based Systems (KB2919355)
Installation status: Failed
Error details: Code 800F0922
System got to 89% then said it couldn't complete the updates and that it would back out the updates. 15 minutes later, I'm back where I started.
Is it possible windows defender or other virus scanner blocked this update?

2014-06-16T20:02:00+00:00 Please... I would be very appreciative. How do I get a case number?
We happen to have two identical computers, still within warranty period, that are set up identically. Both have the same partition amounts and both came laded with 8.0 (I upgraded to 8.1 on both of them at the same time). One has the kb2919355 installed with no issues, the other fails to install.

2014-06-16T20:13:48+00:00 Contact a Micosoft Moderator on the MS Community site. There is a participant link on the site that identifies the moderators. You might try Susan Bradley. She was very helpful to me.

2014-06-16T21:28:47+00:00 You do have a system reserved partition: you just can't see it on the Disk Manager GUI tool. To see it, start 'cmd' in Admin mode & run Diskpart. See my earlier post on page 6 for details. That said, you cannot make any changes to it since it is not associated with a 'volume'. I tried using diskpart, minitool, EaseUS - to no avail.
What solved my problem was running the 'Windows Store Troubleshooter'. It showed a driver issue on my USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller. Windows could not load this driver (yes, it was the latest version) on my laptop (HP dv6t), due to a conflict. HP had posted the resolution to this on their support site. Once I had resolved this issue, the update went through without any issues.
You can see if you have any driver related issues by running the Device Manager & by scanning for hardware changes.
Hope you find this useful.

Users with 800F0922 error only: Check free space in System reserved partition...
Could you tell us how much space did you use?. Here's my disc info as I keep getting the error:
DISKPART> list disk
Núm Disco Estado Tamaño Disp Din Gpt
---------- ---------- ------- ------- --- ---
* Disco 0 En línea 931 GB 0 B
DISKPART> list vol
Núm Volumen Ltr Etiqueta Fs Tipo Tamaño Estado Info
----------- --- ----------- ----- ---------- ------- --------- --------
Volumen 0 E DVD-ROM 0 B Sin medio
Volumen 1 D SYSTEM NTFS Partición 100 MB Correcto
Volumen 2 C NTFS Partición 908 GB Correcto Sistema
Free space in c: is 558 Gb, an in d: is 64,5 Mb.
Please advice!!!
