It still won't install for me, gets to 100% on the "Configuring Windows Updates" screen then falls back to "Failure configuring". Can anyone help?
Windows update KB2919355 fails to install - Error code 800F0922
Windows 8.1 Update for x64-based Systems (KB2919355)
Installation status: Failed
Error details: Code 800F0922
System got to 89% then said it couldn't complete the updates and that it would back out the updates. 15 minutes later, I'm back where I started.
Is it possible windows defender or other virus scanner blocked this update?

2014-05-06T16:14:01+00:00 Hi Buck,
Microsoft reissued the 8.1 Update yesterday. Can you check in Windows Update in Control Panel to see if it's been offered to you again?
See this site for more info: http://www.infoworld.com/t/microsoft-windows/microsoft-reissues-botched-windows-81-update-kb-2919355-241891
If you don't see it in Windows Update, you can get it manually from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=42335
Click the "Details" button to see the list and then click the "Install Instructions" before you begin the download.

2014-05-06T15:46:25+00:00 Been trying to put this update onto a VM all day without sucess. error 800F0922 each time. Tried downloading the update manually, removing VPNs.. Isn't there a better workaround than some potentially risky partition resizing?

2014-04-16T23:52:09+00:00 Hey George, I'm not sure if you figured out a solution yet, but using some information toward the end of this thread, I was able to solve the problem by extending my System Reserved Partition, which was entirely full. I used MiniTool Partition Wizard, shrunk my C: drive, then extended the System Reserved drive, and it worked perfectly!
Could you please explain what exactly I'm supposed to click? I've never used MiniTool's partitioner, so I need some help.
By "System Reserved Partition" do you mean the partition labeled "GPT (Reserved Partition)" or something else?
What do I click exactly? Please help. Thank you.

When I googled the results I found that it was related to a .NET framework 3.0 installation back in the days of Win7 SP1, some were IIS related ! It could be possible since this is an upgraded machine with Windows 7 originally installed. I feel somehow doomed for having to have a clean Windows 8.1 install? Any help before I do that?
