Windows 8.1 Update for x64-based Systems (KB2919355)

Installation status: Failed

Error details: Code 800F0922

System got to 89% then said it couldn't complete the updates and that it would back out the updates.  15 minutes later, I'm back where I started.

Is it possible windows defender or other virus scanner blocked this update?

I too have tried to install this update 3 times, and receive error code: 80070246. even re-booted and tried. I clicked the link to get help with this error, and no support was found. I verified the other associated update was installed, kb2919442, and it was. also appears my other updates have the same error code 80070246.

    any options?

Hey George, I'm not sure if you figured out a solution yet, but using some information toward the end of this thread, I was able to solve the problem by extending my System Reserved Partition, which was entirely full. I used MiniTool Partition Wizard, shrunk my C: drive, then extended the System Reserved drive, and it worked perfectly!

    Good work, mbulger!

I can't analyze my System reserved partition because my openSuSE 13.1 Linux is installed on dedicated computer with network services and on this PC is only Windows installed. I will study threads about Winre.wim to free space in System reserved partition...

@Farzanx: Check your installation log in C:\Windows\Logs\CBS folder for errors, this is only way...

I downloaded and installed "MiniTool^®^ Partition Wizard Home Edition 8.1.1" (freeware) and successfully increased size of "System reserved partition" to 952 MB (reduction of main Windows partition was necessary). I have now 601 MB of free space in "System reserved partition" and will attempt to install KB2919355 again...
