Windows 8.1 Update for x64-based Systems (KB2919355)
Installation status: Failed
Error details: Code 800F0922
System got to 89% then said it couldn't complete the updates and that it would back out the updates. 15 minutes later, I'm back where I started.
Is it possible windows defender or other virus scanner blocked this update?

it looks like I have only 26 Mb available (of 99Mb in total) on this partition and the check program return information that the partition has errors that need to be fixed..Any idea how to fix these disk errors?

You can relax a bit. Microsoft just extended the deadline to install KB2919355 to June 10.

I was getting error code 0x800F9022 with a full system reserved partition. What hurt was that it took an hour to install to the point of failure, then a further two hours to undo all the changes.
An MS tech support level 2 guy looked at the error code and checked my BIOS version. He then went on to say that the BIOS was old and that a UEFI BIOS was required in order to install KB2919355. Rubbish I said, my other computers upgraded fine with a Legacy mode BIOS. He didn't even look at the log files or check the system reserved partition.
What worked for me, was doing the "Marek Kusmierski" process in full, including renaming the SoftwareDistribution folder pre-process detailed a few posts later, followed by increasing the size of the system reserved partition as detailed here. I then did a manual check for updates using Windows Update, and successfully got it on. After downloading, the installer completed all phases in about 30 minutes.
It was then just a case of rebooting a few times (just to make sure), and then manually cleaning up all the junk left behind.

Addendum: The computer was also in a "clean boot" mode at the time as well.
This update is driving me nutz and takes a half hour every time it goes in a circle. I do not have the partition some have mentioned, I do suspect something with the network connection during the install. But not sure what. I turned off all updates for now, although windows likes to complain about doing that but it doesn't work. I'm beginning to think the fix is to go back to Win7.
Thanks Karel ! This worked... I only had 350MB of space and 350MB was used! The computer had a clean install of windows 8 on a 2TB HD, why did they not have the foresight to make the partition larger then 350MB! come on they could of given it atleast 1GB with todays HD's.... Much appreciated the suggestion of the partition program. I downloaded it from CNET's Downloads.com and it worked great!
