Hello,

I remember I installed Avast Free 2014, then maybe afterwards it caused my apps to show those arrow down signs and not be 'live'. Is it really because of Avast Antivirus?

The Apps Troubleshooter cannot help me.

I had installed Windows 8.1 and had this problem.

Simply uninstalled and then re-installed each one and now the problem is gone.

THIS is the solution to the problem.

You have to manually delete and reinstall each and every app that doesnt't update on its own. Only Microsoft apps show this problem, all the other ones do not need to be reinstalled.

Please note that this problem is NOT related, in any way, with Avast.

I had this issue before.. What I did was sync the license and then uninstall/reinstall the apps.

I have found an easier way to do it. Need to clean all the cache in tiles, and I have done it ordinary windows Disc cleaner. But before push "Clean system files" have worked on my computer.

Sorry but I have my windows on Russian but I think it's easy to understand.

This worked for me. I also recovered over 5GB of disk space by deleting the Windows 8 files. Thank you!!!
