Digital Media Renderer

I am trying to connect and stream video and pictures from my Windows 7 Pc to my Xbox One. I finally got my Pc to add the Xbox One to my Wireless Devices but now it's asking me to update my Digital Media Renderer Driver. When I click on Apply Fix it goes through the motions then an error message pops up. It says that their isn't a driver for the Digital Media Renderer and that there's trouble with PnP devices? The Xbox 360 was easy to connect but for some reason the Xbox One is having trouble. Please help. Thank you

I'm betting you just have to open Windows Media Player on the PC and check two things under Stream. Allow remote control of my player and the most important; Automatically allow devices to play my media. Then if you click more streaming options, you should see your Xbox has full access granted now! Ignore the Digital Media Renderer driver error, it's not an issue here...

    I've seem to have found a fix for this issue.

    Go into the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound and under "Devices and Printers" you should see "Device Manager", click on this. You will see an item called "Other Devices" and under it you should see the "Digital Media Renderer" with a tiny yellow warning triangle next to it. Right click on the "Digital Media Renderer" and select "Disable". You should now be able to right click on any music or video and select the "Play To" option.

    Eventually they will. For now, I have Teamviewer installed on my PC and phone. So I just remote into my desktop and play the file from my phone so I never have to go to my computer.

    Kudos vonoventwin - that did the trick!

    I was able to Play to my Xbox One from the PC when I did this, ignoring the device driver error.

    I am still disappointed that the Xbox One does not have access to any shared folders on the local network - which is capability that AppleTV provides.

    Having to initiate the video play from the PC seems archaic.  (Yes, I know, they want us to buy videos from them).

    I have the same problem.

    Microsoft: you are pushing your customers to use Apple Ipad/Iphone's and Airplay to Apple TV, which at least can be made to work.
