Original title: problem while updating

I am not able to login. whenever i start my pc it shows"we couldn't complete the updates Undoing anges don't turn off your computer"   I am seeing this screen since  24 hrs.

Hi,

Do you remember which Windows Updates you were trying to install?

I would suggest you to refer to this article and perform the troubleshooting.

Clean Boot: After troubleshooting in a Clean Boot state, make sure to place the computer back to Normal Startup Mode following the same link.

    This problem is associated with

    Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB2933809)   

    It has happened on two x64-based Win 8.1 laptops.

    (one laptop succeeded after a fresh reboot)  

    It has happened on two Server 2012 R2 systems (same KB)

    (These both succeeded after a fresh reboot)

    The failing laptop is a SurfacePro running with all add-ins and AV turned off.

    The most annoying part of this problem is that one cycle of testing takes 10-15 minutes to prep, another 10-15 to fail, and about 30 minutes to roll back.

    This update is CLEARLY flawed.

    I too have this problem.

    When 30% complete, restart system and show this error:

    We couldn't complete the updates Undoing changes...

    My OS is Win 8.1 Enterprise x64

    Hi Bineet,

    Do you have Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 DVD?

    If you have Windows 8/8.1 DVD, then let’s enter the Safe Mode.

    a) Boot from Windows 8/8.1 DVD.

    b) After you see a Choose an Option, click on ‘Troubleshoot’.

    c) Now click on ‘Advanced Options’ and then on ‘Windows Startup Settings’.

    d) Use your arrow keys to go to ‘Safe Mode’ and hit Enter.

    If you are able to enter Safe Mode, then you can perform a System Restore from here. Then, try to boot to the Normal mode.

    I am facing the same issue from 2 hours in my Win8.1 lenovo yoga ideabook.

    When it reboots it says: we couldn't complete the updates, undoing the changes, please do not turn off the computer.

    I had been waiting for long.. my work is getting hampered. No safe mode exists on my laptop, what should I do.??? Please suggest.
