Hi,

Do you remember which Windows Updates you were trying to install?

I would suggest you to refer to this article and perform the troubleshooting.

Clean Boot: After troubleshooting in a Clean Boot state, make sure to place the computer back to Normal Startup Mode following the same link.

Let us know if it helps. If the issue persists, please reply, we will be glad to assist you further.

Here is a link to the Windows 10 ISO file that allows one to repair a windows 10 installation, while keeping personal files and apps.  Almost makes back-up unnecessary.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-u

Took me about 3 hrs. It also, fixed my windows 10 update problem and other issues.

I am still haing problems with Windows 10 updates. They do not complete and the system tries to back them out. This is very frustrating and time consuming.  I can be reached at 303-678-0047 or using ******@comcast.net. Your help is greatly anticipated and appreciated.

    SUCCESS! Re:****(KB4038788).

It's been one month of "fails."

On the 17th I ran "Troubleshooting" one more time. Then from the catalog, I ran "Windows10 Upgrade 952."

The failed updates have stopped, at least over the the last 48 hours and 3 shutdowns & 3 power-ups.

    Thanks!
