"It's not a true crash, in the sense that the Blue Screen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception".

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OS's like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds. If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating. Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU. Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.

I would download cpu-z and gpu-z (both free) and keep an eye on the video temps

How did you discover that? The problem with Killer Network is quite common and it could help many others if you were to relate in more detail what you did.

The problem relates to a third party driver. The software was originally provided by Bigfoot, which would appear to have been taken over by Qualcomm. The Bigfoot hardware was being installed by a number of computer manufacturers so both they and their customers have an interest in finding a solution.

Did you register your computer with MSI? If not you should do so now:

    http://register.msi.com/

Login and ask your question about availability of an updated driver and whether there are any suggested workarounds.

    http://www.msi.com/support

See the Ask a Question link in the bottom left corner on the page accessed using the previous link.

Note: You may have a warranty claim if your computer was purchased in the last 12 months as I would imagine it is Pre-installed Software.

    http://www.msi.com/page/warranty/#w-nb

You can also seek help from the original store  where you purchased the computer. See Step 2 in the previous link.

Please let me know how you get on as there would appear to be a number of other users with the same problem as you.

A lot of other users seem to be having problems with the Bigfoot Networks Network Bandwidth Control Wireless NDIS Light Weight Filter driver and are looking for an updated driver.

    https://www.google.co.uk/search?as_q=&as_epq=bflwfx64.sys+&as_oq=&as_eq=&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&lr=&cr=&as_qdr=m&as_sitesearch=&as_occt=any&safe=images&tbs=&as_filetype=&as_rights=&gws_rd=ssl

For the record the Bigfoot site is closed. You can get a driver at the Qualcomm site but it looks to be older than the one you have installed. Until an updated driver becomes available, if it does ever become available, I can see no solution.
